How To Make a Computer
First thing first is necessary to get the motherboard. The motherboard can be a new one or second hand from a source like ebay. Every motherboard is fixed to the case with a few screws so a screw driver is necessary also. All motherboards have screws in the same place so what matters is the size of the motherboard. Usually big motherboard do not fit in mini ATX cases.
Second step is to get the case. There are so many cases styles awailable that it should suid everybodys taste.
Depending on the motherboards type now we chose CPU. It is not hard to chose from because in the market dominates two players so depending on the motherboard it will be Intel or AMD. For games recommended to chose AMD. And for everything else Intel.
In case the CPU is chosen then the motherboard needs to be chosen for that CPU.
Motherboards are manufactured different for each CPU.
Also differs and the CPU by the connetro type. Both the motherboard and the CPU must havethe same CPU slot type say LGA 775.
IMAGE
After the CPU and motherboard are in our possession the next step is to get some RAM. Memory differs in type. Latest now is DDR3. The oldr ones DDR2 and DDR1 are obsolete. They also are not compatible so better is to buy the right one. But this should’t be a problem as sellers always will tell what type RAM it is.
After we have all components mentioned abowe lets start to build. The motherboard fits in the case and is screwed with a few screws. Sometimes we need to screw in a few crews that motherboard will sit on
IMAGE
But sometimes we don’t need to do this as the metal surface has special bumps that the motherboard will lie on.
IMAGE
Now let’s connect all the button and LED cables. Depending from the case there will be a few types of connectors. Sometimes they come as one big plug but usually they are separate plugs for each LED Power LED, HDD LED, RESET, POWER.
IMAGE
On the motherboard usually are markings that show where to connect each plug. Sometimes it is marked with letters sometimes is just a color . Black usually is for POWER Button.
IMAGE
When we connect them lets place the CPU and heatsink.
IMAGE
RAM also is necessary to boot for the first time. Without a RAM there will be no image on monitor. Now we need to connect VGA cable, mouse cable and keyboard cable and boot the computer for the first time.
Boot is normal
VIDEO
It shows that the bootable media not found as there is no hard drive installed.
Installing the hard drive. This computer part can be with SATA or ATA interface. Now ATA is obsolete. It is fitted to the case with a four screws. To fit hard drive properly sometimes necessary to open both sides of the case.
IMAGE
Hard drive is connected to the motherboard with caqbles and another cable is for power.
#Installing DVD drive. Also like hard drive it is fittedto the case with a four screws but screws are different
IMAGE of hard drive and DVD drive screws
It is also connected to the motherboard with SATA cable and it gets power from the power supply through power cable.
If the computer not starting check the memory. Sometimes memory modules ar faulty. But this is very rare.
Another cause that can stop from booting is the power supply. But sldo this is very rare as new power supplies are almost always good.
Of cource the third suspected component would be the motherboard. But never been seen that a new motherboard will not work. But this does not mean that it will never happen. Can occur physical damage or something like that.
When everything is connected and the installation should begin. The OS installation is very straight forward and it almost does mot need further explanation.

When Windows XP freezes
If something freezes like a computer or a laptop then experienced computer technicians use General Troubleshooting Theory. This theory needs something about ten pages to explain properly. We will describe here so called Systematic Fault Isolation that is a part of General Troubleshooting Theory. Systematic Fault isolation can help to diagnose issues related to Windows XP freezing.
Systematic Fault Isolation is a technique for systematically isolating the source of an issue. Simply eliminating half of the items that cause the problem or eliminate one after another until the system will be stable.
For example if the Windows XP freezes and the hard drive more than three years old then simply by testing the hard drive or ve will eliminate this component as a cause of the fault or we will know that the hard drive is faulty.
Why to begin with hardware test. Simply because there is no logical point to for example reinstall the operating system if the hard drive has a bad sector or even overheating. It simply will fail again in a while.
Another component that can cause system freezes is memory or RAM. It is not so frequent as hard dirve faults, but when RAM is faulty the system will freeze up or display a blue screen and the shuts down. And now memory issues are more frequent as the capacity of the memory increases so increases the probability to fail.
After we checked the two main components on the computer then we can return to the operating system and check it for viruses, malware and other foreign code pieces in it.
Usually the infected system is reinstalled as we do not want the virus to resurrect. We never found an antivirus that can remove properly the virus code. There is so many viruses and they made so smart . If the virus is reported as mild or low danger then probably the re-installation is unnecessary. But if it has something like Conficker then the re-installation is the best solution.
Another cause could be a power supply, motherboard or the CPU. The CPU usually gets damaged if it overheats. It happens frequently in laptops with a clogged heatsing or radiator plates. In laptops there is almost always some dust covering the heatsink plates near the fan. If the layer of the dust is thick the CPU gets hot and can fail.
Also the motherboard is the cause of fail or freeze. It can happen not so frequent as hard drive fault or RAM fault but still we need to consider it as a component for isolation. ON some brands motherboards the faulty capacitors are cause often of system instability. It is easily found as the capacitors gets deformed or even some color liquid shows up.
This is almost all the possible causes that can cause the computer with Windows XP to freeze. Just remember the hardware the age is critical as the longer it operates the more chances to fail. For the software this may be not the case except may be viruses that gather in the system.

Why computer freezes
The answer to this question depends on many factors. The computer freezing cause can be software relate or hardware related.
Software related freezes can be caused by a virus, a incompatible drivers, or even operating system design errors but this is very rare.
Other part is a hardware caused freezes. This can be from memory faults, hard disk faults to overheating the CPU etc.
To say what is wrong with the PC straight away is almost impossible. To find the freezing cause best way is to use fault isolation. This is universal method and used by many engineers in PC and Mac worlds.
The main principle is to perform a test or isolate a part of hardware and perform a test. Then if the fault still ezsist we perform second test or isolating the hardware. As test example would be memory so called RAM test. As example we can take the DVD drive from the laptop and then see how it works. We had once a freezing laptop which was with a faulty DVD drive. After the replacement everything worked perfectly.
If the computer freezes completely and even the cursor does not move the best way to start is to test the memory. We seen some of cases when such a total system freeze was caused by faulty laptop memory. Faulty memory or RAM is very rare but it happens from time to time and we cant overlook it.
To test the memory the best software available out there is Memtest. It is a bootable CD. It needs simply to be downloaded to the working system then burned to the CD and then booted on the freezing system.
If this test will show some message in red then congratulations you just found the cause of computer freeze.
If the computer is slow and freezes sometimes but the cursor still can be moved then very high probability that the hard drive is faulty. In other words the information from the hard drive is read is different than it was written.
Especially this is frequent for hard drives that are over three years old. There is a special software to test the hard drive HDTune. Better is to take the hard drive out connect it to the another computer and test it.
If the bad sector will show up as shown in the image below the freezing causing fault has been found.
IMAGE
If the RAM and the hard drive are ok then this probably is caused by operating system. Also if this is a laptop needs to be checked for overheating. Usually overheating is caused by the dust that clogs the heat sink.
If the freezing still happens after the re-installation then probably the CPU or the motherboard are faulty.

Recovering data from broken usb dongle.doc
The pen drive is the standard usb interface with added to it
a small memory chip. All usb pen drives are made by the same principle that the
communication is based on usb signals.
When we brake the usb dongle usually the crack occurs when
the metal plug is connected to the PCB inside the device. The inside structure
of this device is similar and varies just the how manufacturer implements the
wiering or in other words the tracks on the PCB.
In every drive we will find the two tracks that are in the
middle of the plug. They are data + and data – tracks. The other two are power
as +5 V and the ground.
To repair the broken we just need to connct again the broken
tracks together and copy the data as soon as possible. The drive after we do
this would not be usable just because the wires can broke again best is just to
bin it.
Here is the image that show the internal structure of the
pen drive.
We need to connect together wery small four wires that are
on the so called PCB (printed cirquit board). Ia am doing it with very small
soldering iron. And this is not so easy to do so if you do it first better is
to practice this on something else.
You will need also a flux and tip dip to clean the soldering
iron tip. Also the solder is necessary.
To better understand what to connect here is more images
showing the connections.

Best tool to desolder Laptop DC Jack
Is Hakko 808. I recently have purchased the Hakko 808 desoldering Tool. Straight from the box it done what it suppose to do th DC Jack was desoldered in about 50 seconds and just fell out. What a strange feeling that I never experienced before.
By the way it comes with a 1.0 mm nozzle. I think the 1.6 mm nozzle is also necessary to buy as many laptop DC Jack pins are square form and sometimes the nozzle do not cover the pin.
Everything else just works perfectly.
Please check our site about laptop repair.
